Despite Powell River's size, we have some delicious restaurants that I wholeheartedly recommend. Whether you're craving west coast flavour, latin cuisine, or vegetarian delights, I've got you covered below.

Coastal Cookery
Coastal Cookery is classic west coast, comfort food. It's a piece of a big city in a small town with its decor, but still manages to charm. Their cocktails, sliders, and brussel sprouts are good shouts.

River City Coffee
This coffee shop is a long-time Powell River staple. A classic cafe with drinks and food options, this is a solid pit-stop for breakfast or lunch before you head out on a hike. River City also happens to serve 32 Lakes coffee, roasted locally.

Base Camp
A little bit of hipster in this tiny town, Base Camp has all the vegetarian options you could want. Seats fill up fast, so get there a bit before the breakfast and lunch rush if you want to enjoy a seat. They have two locations: one right downtown on Marine Avenue and the other in Townsite Market.

Costa del Sol
Owned by the same husband-wife team who run Coastal Cookery, Costa del Sol is delicious latin cuisine in the most quaint and cozy setting. This restaurant is great any time of year, but if you can manage to get a patio seat in the summer, you've got the best spot in the house. I highly recommend their fish tacos and rumbos.
